Munitions, Weapons Systems & Strategic Platforms

No verified role by Adidas as prime contractor or licensed manufacturer of small arms, artillery systems, armoured vehicles, tactical drones, naval vessels, or other lethal platforms supplied to Israeli forces exists 5. Export Licensing, Regulatory & Legal History

UK suspended 30 arms export licences to Israel in September 2024 for military items 4. Adidas products are consumer goods (apparel/footwear) and are not among the suspended items 4. No investigations, citations, or enforcement actions related to Adidas compliance with arms embargoes or export control regimes affecting defense trade with Israel have been identified 4. No court proceedings, judicial reviews, or legal challenges brought against Adidas or against governments regarding Adidas defense supply relationships with Israel have been identified 4.

adidas Israel Ltd. was 85% owned by Adidas from approximately 2013; the remaining 15% non-controlling interest was acquired on January 31, 2024, making it 100% owned 11.

Civil Society Scrutiny & Documented Investigations

Adidas was targeted by BDS movement campaigns over Israel Football Association sponsorship and Jerusalem Marathon sponsorship, both of which were ended 121310. A petition with 15,126 signatures was collected during the campaign 12. The IFA includes six clubs in illegal West Bank settlements 12147. Following campaign by 130+ Palestinian sports clubs and a 16,000-signature petition, Adidas did not renew its sponsorship of the Israel Football Association in July 2018 12101415.

In July 2024, Adidas dropped Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid from a 1972 Munich Olympics-referencing SL72 shoe campaign after Israeli government criticism 16. The company apologized and “revised” the campaign, which sparked boycott calls from pro-Palestinian activism 16.

Who Profits documents Delta Galil Industries Ltd. operating retail branches in settlement neighborhoods (Pisgat Zeev, Ramot in East Jerusalem; Maale Adumim in West Bank) under franchise agreements for Adidas brand products 6. Delta Galil is listed in the UN OHCHR settlement database 7. The Adidas Foundation provided a €700,000 three-year grant (2025-2028) to the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation for a “United by Sport” anti-discrimination and leadership training program 515.
