Direct Defence Contracting & Procurement

No evidence has been identified of formal contracts, tender awards, framework agreements, or memoranda of understanding between Salesforce and the Israeli Ministry of Defence (IMOD), Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Israel Prison Service, or Israel Border Police 1. The company does not appear in publicly searchable Israeli government procurement databases in connection with defence or security sector awards 1. No corporate press releases, investor relations communications, or Israeli government announcements document defence cooperation, joint ventures, or formal partnership agreements between Salesforce and any Israeli defence entity 234.

Project Nimbus clarification: The $1.2 billion Israeli government cloud contract is held by Google and Amazon, not Salesforce 5. Salesforce’s own blog mentioned Project Nimbus as a potential use case for Hyperforce data residency, but no direct contract exists 6. Salesforce Israel leadership (Itai Margalit, Area VP) referenced Project Nimbus as requiring local data residency that Hyperforce could support — this is a contextual mention, not contract evidence 6.

Israel Post, a state-owned enterprise, has a documented digital transformation engagement with Salesforce through implementation partner AllCloud, representing the most direct evidence of Salesforce serving an Israeli government entity 78.

Dual-Use Products & Tactical Variants

Salesforce is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company whose product portfolio consists entirely of cloud-hosted software with no hardware manufacturing component 9. The company’s core products — Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Slack, MuleSoft, Tableau, and Einstein AI — are general-purpose enterprise tools designed for civilian commercial applications 9. No evidence has been identified of purpose-built, military-specified, or contract-modified product variants specifically supplied to Israeli state security bodies 910.

Salesforce’s Government Cloud offering is a FedRAMP-authorised environment marketed to US federal, state, and local government entities and is publicly documented as a civilian public-sector product line, not an Israeli defence variant 9. Einstein AI and Einstein Copilot are general-purpose enterprise AI tools, and no evidence has been identified that any Salesforce AI product has been purpose-built or modified for kinetic military targeting, fire-control, or kill-chain automation for Israeli or any other defence end-user 111.

MissionForce: Salesforce created a defence and national security business unit in September 2025, but it is US-focused with a $5.6 billion Army IDIQ contract and $72 million DAF contract 1112. No evidence of any Israeli deployments for MissionForce has been identified 1112.

Heavy Machinery, Construction & Infrastructure

No public evidence identified. Salesforce does not manufacture, sell, lease, or service physical machinery, construction equipment, vehicles, demolition equipment, or engineering infrastructure of any kind. This category is wholly outside Salesforce’s business model as a SaaS company. No evidence has been identified of any Salesforce role in the construction, maintenance, servicing, or expansion of checkpoints, detention facilities, military bases, the separation barrier, or settlement infrastructure in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Golan Heights, or Gaza 21314.

Supply Chain Integration with Defence Primes

No public evidence identified that Salesforce supplies components, sub-systems, raw materials, or specialist manufacturing services to Israeli defence prime contractors including Elbit Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Rafael, or IMI/Elbit Land 1. The product categories and operational domains of Israeli defence primes — tactical weapon systems, aerospace platforms, electronic warfare, armoured vehicles, and naval systems — do not correspond to Salesforce’s SaaS product portfolio 1.

Acquisitions: Salesforce acquired Israeli data protection company Own (formerly OwnBackup) for $1.9 billion in September 2024 15. This is a commercial SaaS acquisition in data protection and data management, and no defence prime integration has been identified 15. Ventures and partnerships: Salesforce Ventures has invested in Israeli cybersecurity companies Upwind and Wiz, but no evidence these portfolio companies hold defence prime contracts 16. Asperii is an official Salesforce reseller in Israel headquartered in Petah Tikva, serving the government sector, but no defence sector engagements have been documented 17. Logistical Sustainment & Base Services

No public evidence identified of Salesforce contracts to provide catering, transport, fuel, waste management, facilities maintenance, telecommunications infrastructure, or other base support services to IDF installations, military training facilities, detention centres, or security installations in any geography 1. No evidence has been identified of any Salesforce service contract with geographic scope covering the West Bank, Golan Heights, East Jerusalem, or the Negev in a military or security-installation context 1314. Salesforce is a SaaS company and does not operate in shipping, freight forwarding, port handling, or any logistics-sector capacity 1.

Munitions, Weapons Systems & Strategic Platforms

No public evidence identified — Salesforce is not a prime contractor, licensed manufacturer, subcontractor, or component supplier for any lethal platform including small arms, artillery, armoured vehicles, tactical drones, naval vessels, or missiles 1. No evidence has been identified of any Salesforce role in the supply of ammunition, explosive ordnance, chemical propellants, warhead components, or munitions precursor materials 1. No evidence has been identified of any Salesforce role in the manufacture, integration, maintenance, or component supply for Israel’s strategic defence systems such as Iron Dome, David’s Sling, Arrow, F-35, Merkava, naval vessels, or ballistic missiles 1112.

Export Licensing, Regulatory & Legal History

No public evidence identified of any government decision — in any jurisdiction — to grant, deny, suspend, or revoke an export licence for Salesforce products destined for Israeli military or security end-users 1. Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and OFAC public enforcement records do not document any Salesforce enforcement action related to arms embargo compliance, export control violations, or sanctions in connection with defence trade with Israel 1. No public evidence identified of court proceedings, judicial reviews, or legal challenges brought against Salesforce — or against any government licensing authority — regarding a defence supply relationship with Salesforce and Israel 1.

Civil Society Scrutiny & Documented Investigations

Salesforce does not appear as a profiled company in the Who Profits database of companies operating in the Israeli occupation 13. Salesforce does not appear as a primary profiled company in the AFSC Investigate database, which tracks corporate complicity in Israeli human rights abuses 14. Salesforce does not appear in the UN Human Rights Office database of enterprises operating in Israeli settlements, which was updated in September 2025 with 158 companies 234.

The UN Special Rapporteur Albanese Report (A/HRC/59/23) dated June 2025 names Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, IBM, and Palantir among 48 corporate actors, but Salesforce is NOT specifically named in the military, surveillance, or carcerality sections 1819. The PAX Netherlands “Companies Arming Israel and Their Financiers” report from June 2024 does not include Salesforce in either the direct supply tier or the financial backer tier 3. The Al-Haq “Business and Human Rights” report from July 2024 does not name Salesforce in any capacity 3.

No documented boycott, divestment, or exclusion campaign specifically targets Salesforce in a V-MIL context; campaigns instead focus on Google/Amazon (Project Nimbus), Microsoft, HP, Motorola Solutions, and Elbit Systems 3. The No Tech for Apartheid campaign explicitly targets Google and Amazon over Project Nimbus, and Salesforce is not a primary or secondary campaign target 3.

Controlling Principals: Marc Benioff (Founder, Co-CEO, Chair, approximately 3% beneficial ownership) has no primary source confirming documented donations to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF), serving on FIDF gala committees, or holding any board or advisory position at an Israeli defence-sector entity 20. A secondary social media source mentions him as a “key funder” but this is not a primary source and does not establish a specific FIDF role 20. Benioff’s documented philanthropic record centres on the Benioff Ocean Science Laboratory, Children’s Hospital San Francisco, and Salesforce.org social impact channels; no Israeli defence-adjacent philanthropy is publicly documented 10. Group Attribution: Slack, acquired in 2021, has no evidence of contracts with Israeli military bodies, IDF units, or Israeli security services; FedRAMP-authorised GovSlack serves US federal government entities 9. MuleSoft, acquired in 2018, has no evidence of contracts with Israeli defence or security bodies 1. Tableau, acquired in 2019, has no evidence of contracts with Israeli defence or security bodies 1. No evidence has been identified that any Salesforce subsidiary, acquired entity, or corporate venture investment has a direct, documented military or defence supply relationship with Israeli state security bodies that would be attributed to the group 1.

Constructive Notice: The ICJ Advisory Opinion of July 2024 found Israel’s continued presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory unlawful, and the ICC issued arrest warrants for Israeli leaders in November 2024 18. No direct military or defence supply relationship between Salesforce and Israeli security bodies has been publicly documented in the pre-notice period 1.

Settlement Nexus: Salesforce is NOT in the UN OHCHR Settlement Database, which as of the September 2025 update contains 158 companies 234. Asperii, an Israeli partner, is headquartered in Petah Tikva in central Israel, not the West Bank, and it claims to be the number one implementation partner for the Israeli Government sector but no settlement operations have been identified 17.
