Preliminary note on corporate identity: The “Hyundai” name today spans two legally and financially separate corporate groups descended from a common founder but with no current cross-ownership - Hyundai Motor Group (Hyundai Motor, Kia, Hyundai Mobis, Hyundai AutoEver, Genesis, Boston Dynamics, Hyundai CRADLE) and HD Hyundai (formerly Hyundai Heavy Industries Holdings; includes HD Hyundai Construction Equipment/Infracore, HD Hyundai Oilbank, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries shipbuilding) ¹.
